The Soft Spot Coffee opened to fill a gap in Garfield — a sober, late-night space that intentionally centers sapphic voices and welcomes all ages. Founders wanted more than coffee: a bookstore-cafe that hosts community events, supports local bakers and musicians, and creates a safe, alcohol-free environment for queer connection. From weekday study sessions to Friday open-mic nights, the shop has become a quiet hub where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and neighborhood life hums a little softer.
